Micah Ali
Mr.Micah Ali is a proven leader in the City of Compton, working tirelessly to improve the quality of life and bring much needed resources to the citizens of Compton. Mr. Ali has served on numerous Boards and Commissions both as an elected and appointed official such as: Compton Community College District Personnel Commission which he Chaired, and he served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Ballona Wetlands. Mr. Ali was also recently re-elected to serve on the School Board for the Compton Unified School District.
In 2011, Mr. Ali was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Compton Creek Mosquito Abatement District by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. In this capacity, Mr. Ali has led the increased efforts for community engagement with the District. Among these accomplishments, he worked to create the District’s school education program where District personnel teach 7th grade Life Sciences classes about mosquitoes, he led the Board in the creation of the District’s Mosquito Awareness Day, which is held at an schools in Compton. Mr. Ali also serves on the Legislative and Regulatory Committee for the American Mosquito Control Association advocating for the importance of public health for all of the Country’s citizens.
